What we collect

When you create an account with Google we store your email address and the name and profile picture Google shares. We never see your Google password.

When you split an image we store the image you chose and the layers we return, so you can open and download them again from your history for 30 days. We also keep a record of your credits, purchases and splits.

Plugins and the Chrome extension

The Photoshop, Figma and Sketch plugins and the Chrome extension sign in to your account when you log in with Google and approve them on layergrab.com. Each one stores its own connection key on your device (in the design app's plugin storage, or in the extension's local storage in Chrome) and sends it only to LayerGrab. Sign out in the plugin, or sign it out under Account, Plugins, to revoke it.

They send us only the image you choose to split and the optional instruction you type. The Chrome extension reads an image only when you right-click it and choose Split this image into layers, drop, paste or upload it in the side panel, or ask it to use the visible part of the current tab. It does not read your browsing history or the rest of the page. If a site does not share its images with extensions, the extension asks you for the optional permission to read images on websites, and uses it only to download the image you picked. The plugins and the extension contain no advertising or analytics.

How images are processed

Your image is sent to an AI model operated by our processing partner to separate it into layers. We use your images only to produce your results. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to train our own models.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep a record of what you bought and when.

How long we keep data

Split results (the layers and the filled background) are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically; the record of the split stays in your history. The images you upload stay with your account until you ask us to delete them or close your account. Account and billing records are kept while your account is open and as long as the law requires afterwards.

Your choices

You can sign out of any plugin at any time. To have your images, your results or your whole account deleted, email us at contact@layergrab.com and we will do it within 30 days.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
